Details:

Wood: Ash (Fraxinus excelsior).
Origin: Scotland. Sourced from the ancient woodland on the Ochil hills behind our cottage. This from a branch broken off in a storm, which is the only such occasion I have access to the wood.
This particular piece shows good chatoyancy, complemented by the ‘organic’ fault within the wood.
Finish: Cyanoacrylate with mid polish.
Height: 127mm.
Other: Silver birch cabochon ‘stone’ (Betula pendula) with high polish cyanoacrylate finish. Hallmarked Sterling silver inset band and setting.
